The CME regularly makes submissions to both the WA and Federal governments, drawing on policy experts spanning occupational health and safety, education and training, the environment, exploration, Indigenous affairs, the economy, infrastructure and tax, and workforce development.

ANNUAL REPORTS

The CME Annual Report is released each year at our Annual General Meeting, which is usually held in April. The Annual Report details the resources sector’s economic contribution and the CME’s key achievements and events. It also lays out CME priorities for the coming year.

CONTRIBUTION SHEETS

The CME surveys its members annually to quantify the level of expenditure by the WA resources sector on wages and salaries, business purchases, community contributions, and payments to the government at local, state and federal levels.

CME regularly produces reports examining the trends, challenges and opportunities facing the WA resources sector. Every two years, CME releases its Diversity and Inclusion Report tracking progress towards boosting female and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander participation in industry.

MATC

The primary purpose of the MATC is to engage with the industry sectors it represents and gather intelligence on industry developments, workforce needs and strategies. The MATC uses this intelligence to advocate on behalf of industry and inform policy of the State Training Board and Department of Training and Workforce Development.
