In December 2022, WorkCover WA requested feedback from CME on the Workers Compensation and Injury Management Final Draft Bill 2022. CME has provided the below submission and welcomed WorkCover WA’s open and transparent consultation and looks forward to ongoing engagement. Ensuring the health and safety of people working in the resources sector is a priority for CME and our member companies and while preventing workplace accidents is crucial, it is also imperative that a fair and effective worker’s compensation system be in place.
