CME was delighted to host member company representatives at a table at the Reconciliation WA breakfast, as part of Reconciliation Week.
It was an excellent event, hosted expertly at Optus Stadium by Channel 10 newsreader Narelda Jacobs, with a very poignant and educational Welcome to Country from Dr Richard Walley and a moving video message from Fitzroy Crossing by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Social Justice Commissioner, June Oscar.
One of the highlights was a panel discussion compered by Jacobs, and featuring Professor Helen Milroy, Chloe D’Souza and Dr Hannah McGlade, which focused on key issues that need to be addressed for genuine Reconciliation to be achieved.
Reconciliation is such an important journey and I know it’s one CME member companies are committed to progressing now and into the future. Reconciliation Week and the events that go with it are integral to that process.
