We’re still seeking our next Goldfields Regional Officer – a role that is pivotal to both CME’s activities in the region and also those of our member companies.
It’s a very big and also very rewarding job and one that reflects the ever-evolving and expanding nature of what our organisation does.
The successful candidate will engage with a wide range of stakeholders across our member companies, various levels of government, local businesses and industry, and community groups in advocating for outcomes that will benefit the region and all parties involved.
They will be the eyes and ears in the Goldfields for CME’s communications team, proactively identifying compelling stories to be told, not only about mining itself but our sector’s interaction with local communities.
The new Regional Officer will also represent CME at key events like Diggers & Dealers and the What’s Down The Track forum, and will be a driving force in organising the Goldfields’ time-honoured mines rescue competitions.
Every now and then, they might even be required to be interviewed by the media!
If you’d like to know more about the job, please feel free to drop us a line at chamber@cmewa.com. Applications can be made here.
