Once again, the 2021 Diggers & Dealers Mining Forum lived up to its name as Australia’s leading event for our sector. With more than 2400 attendees, the vast majority from WA, the forum was a huge success.
The majority of CME’s members presented and/or hosted stalls and, as is the case every year, Diggers offered opportunities for delegates from Australia’s resources and oil and gas sectors to meet in a relaxed environment and discuss current key topics affecting industry.
Joining CME’s Goldfields Manager, Ryan O’Hanlon, our Director of Policy and Advocacy, Rob Carruthers, and Manager of Industry Competitiveness, Adrienne LaBombard, travelled up to Kalgoorlie-Boulder for Diggers.
Key messages from this year’s forum included;
1) Steps to continue to improve good Environment, Social and Governance practices
2) A focus on green energy
3) Industry’s commitment to proromoting a healthy and safe work and living environment for all staff and contractors.
CME congratulates the organisers of this year’s Diggers & Dealers on a hugely successful and professional event and we look forward to attending again in 2022.
G E Business Register
Meanwhile, the G E Business Register itself continues to grow and now has more than 450 businesses registered. The platform allows local businesses the opportunity to improve their visibility to suppliers and purchasers and to register as a supplier to the mining industry, and showcase their skills and capabilities to mining companies.
The Kalgoorlie Boulder Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KBCCI) is the dedicated resource looking after the Register and will help Goldfield’s businesses sign up and answer any of their questions. Please contact Sharon Henderson at the KBCCI at hello@gebusinessregister.com.au if you have any queries.
