CME is pleased to announce that its new office at Unit 1/26 Carey Street in Bunbury’s CBD will open on September 8. The office, overlooking Guppy Park, will have CME’s logo boldly displayed in the front window.
The first meeting in the new office will be the HR Forum on Thursday September 23, a meeting that will include a presentation from the Resources Industry Training Council about the current demand for skilled labour and also VET in schools.
Collaborators discuss school partnership models
The South West Collaboration working group met on August 17 and were able to hear about Doral’s new pilot school-based traineeship program. The Student to Workforce Pathways Program is a joint initiative with Doral, South Regional TAFE and two local schools.
Over the past few months, the group has identified a shortlist of school-industry partnership models, which the group will continue to investigate further over the next few months, with a view to engaging with schools in a meaningful partnership next year.
The next meeting will be held in October.
