As expansion projects ramp up in the Goldfields, we are pleased to see a heightened presence of mining executives in the region to showcase the growth in the sector and the economic opportunities they present.

Lynas Rare Earths’ Board of Directors visited Kalgoorlie in early October with a commitment to creating local jobs using a residential workforce. Lynas Chairman Kathleen Conlon reiterated the company’s goal to develop critical minerals capability in WA’s Goldfields and an accelerated growth plan in rare earth concentration, cracking and leaching. Lynas’ Rare Earths Processing Facility project is in full construction phase and anticipated to be operational by March 2023.
CME was proud to sponsor the recent PGA golfing tournament hosted in the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder. The tournament is not only attended by hundreds of pro golfers, it’s also streamed to thousands of households through Kayo and Foxtel television coverage. It was a great opportunity to showcase the Goldfields as well as CME’s Jobs in Resources initiative.
October was Mental Health Awareness Month and being a critical area of health and safety for our members, Danielle attended a Beyond Blue Table morning tea fundraiser for mental health services in the region.
