The Chamber of Minerals and Energy of Western Australia (CME) is pleased to announce the appointment of Holly Phillips to the position of Manager, Eastern Region.
CME Chief Executive Reg Howard-Smith welcomed the appointment.
Over the past five years Holly has been the Community Relations Co-ordinator at Kalgoorlie Consolidated Gold Mines (KCGM).
“Holly’s direct experience in the resources sector and community relations expertise will be highly valued by our members throughout the goldfields,” said Mr Howard-Smith.
Prior to working with KCGM, Holly worked at the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
“Holly has a strong understanding of the challenges facing companies in the mining sector and great knowledge of the issues in the goldfields region,” said Mr Howard-Smith.
“Holly’s community relations, mining sector and advocacy knowledge will be a real asset to CME and our growing membership in the region,” said Mr Howard-Smith.
Holly is also currently undertaking further study in Community Relations with the University of Queensland.
Holly commenced with CME on Monday, 2 December.
