Aaron is a Policy Manager and Head of Economics at the Chamber of Minerals and Energy of Western Australia, with over a decade of experience across macroeconomic and financial roles. He oversees the Industry Competitiveness and Economics (ICE) portfolio which is responsible for advocating for policy settings that make WA an attractive and competitive jurisdiction for resources investment and operations, including development of strategic industries including critical minerals, green metals and hydrogen. In addition, the ICE portfolio conducts CME’s economic workstreams including our annual Economic Contribution Factsheets.
Prior to CME, Aaron was a Senior Economist at the Reserve Bank of Australia where he led the RBA’s Perth Office for 5 years. He holds a double degree in Economics and Commerce from the University of Western Australia, along with First Class Honours in Economics.
