Catherine Turnbull

Senior Policy Advisor, Environment & Sustainability

Catherine has more than 10 years of experience in the minerals sector in Australia primarily as an exploration geologist, but also including roles in health and safety and land administration. Since 2018,

Catherine has moved into consulting and government roles related to renewable energy, carbon markets and sustainable development policy. In her most recent role at the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development, Catherine provided the technical research and policy analysis on the opportunity to develop an advanced biofuel industry in Western Australia. Through this role she gained valuable insights into the emerging local industry which includes leaders from CME’s membership.

Catherine holds a Bachelor of Science (Geology) from Monash University and a Graduate Diploma (Energy and Carbon studies) from Murdoch University.
