About
Raised in regional Western Australia, Jackie attended 25 schools across construction camps and country towns where her father worked on the railways. Despite the upheaval, she excelled academically, boarding in Perth to complete high school and later studying nursing, inspired by her father’s battle with asbestosis. She went on to complete a Postgraduate Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety and an MBA from Curtin University with distinction.
Jackie began her career as a nurse in the mining sector before taking a corporate role in London. In 2017 she joined Woodside and became the first woman to hold an HSE Coordinator role across the North West Shelf platforms. After two decades in health and safety Jackie made a bold career change, retraining as a Process Plant Operator. Excelling as a mature-age student, she completed Certificates II and III in Process Plant Operations before progressing from onshore LNG Operator to offshore Production Operator. She is now the first female Operator in the Turnaround team, leading critical maintenance planning and execution.
An active member of Woodside’s Women in Australian Operations network, Jackie advocates for gender balance and wellbeing offshore. She has helped establish peer support networks, mentored women pursuing trade and operational careers, and represented Woodside at the national NOPSEMA forum on psychosocial safety.
