About WIRA
The Women in Resources Awards are Western Australia's premier event recognising excellence, leadership and innovation in the resources sector.
Established in 2010 by the Chamber of Minerals and Energy of Western Australia, the Women in Resources Awards recognises individuals and organisations working to build a world-class industry which provides attractive career opportunities and enhances the participation of women in the sector.
Previous winners have come from a wide range of organisations in the WA resources sector, and varied career fields, including engineering, trades, technical, operations, processing, human resources, environmental, management, geology, and community relations.

This category recognises the outstanding achievements of a woman in the Western Australian resources sector, in any occupation.
It recognises professional success, leadership skills, resilience in overcoming barriers, and accepting new challenges.
It also recognises her contribution to the resources sector and broader community. This may include a commitment to community engagement and development, contributing to inclusion and diversity within the sector and/or other sustainability initiatives.
